The students’ sports festival «MECHNIKOV STARTFEST»

On September 17, 2016 at the stadium of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University the first-year students’ sports festival “MECHNIKOV STARTFEST” was held.

The event was held for the first time, at the initiative of trade-union committee of students and graduate students of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University together with the administration of the university. The festival’s purpose was to improve the friendly relations between first-year students of all faculties, to help them to accustom to the new “student’s” life and to become full-fledged members of our strong and friendly family, and – simply well and cheerfully spend the time.

Within the festival sports, psychological trainings, intellectual games and in conclusion – eating of water-melons on speed were organized.

The objectives of an action were achieved – the first-year students together with the curators and the administration of the university spent Saturday day cheerfully, actively, interestingly, got new friends.
