Lecturers of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines have improved their skills within the framework of the OSCE project

Korneyeva improved their skills within the project “Improvement of Legal Education and Human Rights Education”, which is implemented by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The advanced training was carried out during 03-6 November 2020 in the format of the online school “Methods of teaching of a wide range of private law disciplines”

The school was held with the aim of improving skills and knowledge of modern methods and organization of teaching private law disciplines to lecturers and post-graduate students; assisting lecturers and post-graduate students in adapting to the challenges of teaching private law disciplines related to the growing role of distance learning, especially during quarantine restrictions; preparation for the educational process in the conditions of new legal standards introduced in the light of reforms of higher education in law.

The moderator of the online school was A. Sidelnikov, PhD, National Rule of Law and Human Rights Project Manager of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine. The well-known Ukrainian and foreign specialists in the field of private law and educational activities acted as trainers, while the lectures of private law disciplines in the leading Ukrainian institutions of higher education were listeners.

Within the online school, the participants gained new knowledge and skills in organizing the teaching process in distance learning, as well as received the opportunity to discuss with the Ukrainian and foreign colleagues issues related to improving the teaching process, in particular: effective use of online technologies in distance and blended learning; lecturing online; preparation and carrying out practical lessons; organization and methodical support of students’ self-preparation; use of the test method of control and preparation of students for Master’s degree entrance exam in Law; preparation of homework, its checking and feedback; methods of final control; formation of students’ legal writing skills, oral and written counseling, as well as preparation of conclusions on law enforcement.

The fact of advanced training by participants is confirmed by the relevant certificates.
